Chris McCreight is a Senior Advisor to Council Member Kayla Santosuosso and a District Leader in Assembly District 46, with a deep background in government and, prior to that, in property management across the district’s neighborhoods. He supported nearly all of Citizens Union’s reform agenda, except that on police accountability. He opposed giving the Civilian Complaint Review Board access to sealed records and moving police disciplinary hearings to the Office of Administrative Trials and Hearings (OATH). Citizens Union was impressed by his focus on campaign finance and election reforms, including his call for stronger disclosure of bundling, strengthening the matching funds program, his proposal to penalize frivolous petition challenges, and his command of the affordability and housing concerns facing his future constituents. Citizens Union endorses Chris McCreight in this race.
