Citizen Union Advocates for Less Aggressive and Frequent Use of Stop, Question and Frisk Tactic
Citizens Union issued a statement on the New York Police Department (NYPD) tactic known as “stop, question and frisk”. After studying the issue for a year, Citizens Union came to the conclusion that the tactic should be used less frequently and that the current use of the tactic is too aggressive. Stop, question and frisk should only be used when an officer has reasonable suspicion that a person has been, is, or is about to be involved in criminal activity.
