Leaders of Civic Organizations Request ESDC to Improve Open Data and Transparency

The leaders of Citizens Union, Fiscal Policy Institute, Citizens Budget Commission, NY Public Interest Research Group, Reinvent Albany, Common Cause New York, and League of Women Voters – NYS are requesting in a letter to Howard Zemsky, President and CEO of the Empire State Economic Development Corporation (ESDC), that the ESDC publish all of its data in a machine-readable format, in accordance with Governor Cuomo’s Executive Order #95 on open data and transparency.  The letter also calls for the creation of a “Database of Deals” to track economic development benefits awarded to companies.
