Letter to the MTA on creating OpenFOIL Portal and Online MTA Police Incident Site
On October 23, 2018, Citizens Union submitted a letter to the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA), asking it to overhaul its Freedom of Information Law (FOIL) and processes by adopting an Open FOIL platform for FOIL requests and creating an in-house portal for requesting MTA police incident records. The letter provides recommendations for best practices from other jurisdictions and within New York State.
